with 25 years working in 'the industry', jules has extensive knowledge on everything jewelry related.

after working a few years in retail, jules fulfilled her childhood dream of earning a graduate gemology degree at GIA in santa monica, california.

armed with her degree, jules sought work in the manufacturing/wholesale side of the industry. she started a new role with a loose diamond house in chicago, illinois. balancing diamond parcels, turned into sorting diamonds, followed by grading and submitting tens of thousands of stones with AGS and GIA. during this time, jules honed her skills and learned what qualified a stone for specific ideally cut grades. in an unprecedented and unexpected move, her employer gave her buying power and sent jules started to ramat gan, israel to purchase millions of dollars worth of diamonds. while overseas, she collaborated with the cutting factory, ensuring all of their diamonds met the strictest cut grades.

early in 2000 jules made a pivotal move and relocated to new york city, aka the diamond district. in this role, she started working with a large diamond house, (yes, it was as amazing as it sounds), assessing the quality of important white and colored diamonds for purchase. simultaneously she created jewelry with some of the top handmade jewelers in the country. creating jewels that would be showcased in the windows of houses like harry winston, bvlgari, and graff. 

after 5 years she moved on to one of italy's top jewelry designers. here she traveled the US and europe learning the in's and out's of the designer jewelry at a regional, national and global level. 

by 2007 jules began employment at a small yet fast growing online business james allen. heading production, she elevated the quality of jewelry sold on the site. what she learned would be instrumental to her career and it changed her perspective the of the jewelry industry and her future within it.
